Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I am running OpenOffice 2.2.0 on Ubuntu 7.04, with desktop effects disabled but proprietary, legacy nvidia drivers installed. I am using a custom-built "dark" theme on gnome 2.18.1 to reduce eyestrain, which involves the inside background of text boxes being black, the "windows" being nearly black, selections being blue, and all text (foreground) being white. Writer's GUI correctly partially adapts to this, painting some text white to match the system settings and other text black, making it unreadable against the dark window background.

Do you still have this problem on Ubuntu 7.10 or Ubuntu hardy? If so can you attach the theme that causes the problem to the launchpad bug report?
Thanks,
Chris Cheney
