Bug Description
I just switched to gutsy (knowing what I do) and I lost WiFi.
I found similar bugs for older kernels reporting missing files in the firmware directory. Here is a similar report:

I'll try to install the firmware manually meanwhile.
You should install and upgrade linux-image-generic at least, or linux-generic, in order to ensure that you have all packages needed for the kernel.
In this case, it looks like you only have linux-image- 2.6.22- 5-generic and linux-restricte d-modules- 2.6.22- 5-generic. The package you are missing is linux-ubuntu- modules- 2.6.22- 5-generic, which would get installed if you install the linux-generic or linux-image-generic meta packages from gutsy.
