Bug Description
Dear Support:
I updated some patches this morning and now Ubuntu won't let me install or uninstall files. Error found in update:
E: Problem parsing dependency Depends
E: Error occurred while processing thekompany-support (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

I have resolved the above problem using sudo's command in terminal:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -f
I hope this would help others with the same problem.
