KWeather for KDE 3.5.7 does not use panel's transparency configuration

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kweather

Use directions provided by Kubuntu at http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-357.php

After upgrade, KWeather is no longer transparent along with the panel.

Same thing here, i.e. on Kubuntu Feisty with the latest KDE upgrade i.e. 3.5.7.

I can reproduce this as well, so confirming for me and for the other response.

Can reproduce this. When kweather is first added to transparent panel it is transparent. Reboot or Log out/in and it's back to a grey background.

The panel from KDE 3 was completely rewritten in KDE 4, and since I don't think this issues is going to get fixed for KDE 3, I am going to close this report as won't fix.

Hopefully the new applet works better ;-)
