Bug Description

I am trying to install xvidcap 1.1.5 on Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy and I get this error msg "Error dependency is not satisfiable: libatk1.0-0" I am trying to install xvidcap it a .deb file.

Are you using dpkg -i to install the package? or gdebi?

xvidcap is not in ubuntu, we cant support random .deb's that a user decides to download. This library is in gutsy, and may work on edgy, but we cannot support this.

I was trying to installing cliking on the application and run in it in GUI mode.

When I run dpkg -i I got this

 sudo dpkg -i xvidcap_1.1.5_i386.deb

Use gdebi it should satisfy all depends dpkg -i doesnt install depends
