resume from suspend takes long after recent kernel update

Bug Description

Since the latest kernel update resume from suspend doesn't work any more. It takes about 1 minute before the harddisk starts working again. Before suspend worked fine.
I use sony vaio VGN-B1XP Laptop
here is more information:

I have the same problem. Feisty release was the first one that could resume after suspend from my Sony TX2 but the new kernel messed it up. Same problem like in the past. Please fix this.

It is a problem of the new kernel.

I have the exact same problem. Vaio B1XP laptop, ubuntu 7.04 feisty fawn. Before kernel update suspend worked perfectly, after update when waking up from suspend the laptop freezes.
