Bug Description

I'm writing my M.Sc. thesis in LyX. After upgrading from Feisty to Gutsy (where tetex has been replaced by texlive), my report expands from 36 pages to over 50 pages.
Figure floats used to fit two-on-a-page, while now each float occupies its own page. Text under figures is about 5cm down from the picture, where it used to be just under the picture in tetex.

I tried to compile the same file on a computer with feisty (thus tetex) and it works correctly.

Stupid question, can you send me by personal (!!!) email *all* necessary
files so that I can check? Best would be a log file of the tetex run,
too.

(I am not interested inyour MSc, I have already a PhD ;-)

Best wishes

I'll send the files as soon as I have a free moment. For the things I've checked, the document is rendered correctly to Postscript, free spaces appear only in PDF (pdflatex) output.
