Bug Description

this could be also a bug against linux-image-2.6.20-16-generic - not sure where to report it

The latest kernel upgrade fixed my problem with my SD-card-reader (Bug #53923) but disabled DRI.

glxinfo:
name of display: :0.0
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: No
server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.2
...

I commented out (the formerly working) "option rotate" and "mode" in Section DRI

Thanks for reporting this bug. Could you also attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log when it fails to run with DRI? There might be a useful error message there.

I got my xorg.conf messed up somehow.

is there a difference between "DRI" and "dri" when loading modules?

I still do not know why my xorg.conf changed ...

Hi Eduard, glad to hear you sorted the issue out, I'll close this.

Yes, X is case sensitive with module names. I testing putting "DRI" as upper case on my system and X failed to start up. So sounds like the cause of things. If you do figure out what caused the change, and if it's something we can fix, please send us a new bug report and let us know about it.
