Bug Description

System:
HP pavilion DV-6000
dual AMD Turion x64
Nvidia GeForce Go 6150

Done with 32bit Kubunto 7.04

I booted Kubunto off of the CD with out any problems, and installation went fine until I went to boot the OS off of the hard drive. After getting through the loading screen, my screen went to a grayish white and then slowly went to all black (over the course of about 2 minutes). The manner in which the screen changed was awkwardly random for a computer to generate in my opinion. I let it sit for awhile after that but nothing happened and It happened again after reinstalling it. This also happened with my friends laptop that is almost identical to my laptop with only a very slightly lower graphics card, but with his it just went right to a black screen with both Kabunto and Debian Linux

they are both NVIDA G-Force Go 6150's

the only differences that we have between our laptops are that his is newer and he has light scribe and a few more gig's for his hard drive

Assuming you are using the launchpad web interface (i.e. go to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-kernel-common/+bug/118313 in a web browser and you are logged in to launchpad) there will be a a box at the bottom of the page that has Attachment within it and a "Browse..." button.
1. In the text area box to the right of Attachment write
/etc/X11/xorg.conf
2. Click the "Save Changes" button. This will upload the xorg.conf file which lives in the /etc/X11/ directory (you can navigate to that directory by using Places -> Computer then choosing file system. This will land you at / where you should be able to see a directory called etc . With etc there's a directory called X11 but all of this stuff in brackets is an aside).
3. In the text area box to the right of Attachment write
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
4. Click the "Save Changes" button.

It has (only just) occurred to me though that you probably don't have a GUI (have you tried booting into recovery mode?) on the problem machine and probably don't know how to move files off the problem computer to another machine from which you can upload them. If this is the case I suspect you don't actually want to be filing bug reports at this stage and would be better served raising a support issue over on https://answers.launchpad.net/ or using one of the other methods of support described on http://www.ubuntu.com/support/communitysupport and pointing them at this link so they can gauge your expertise.
