Bug Description
Binary package hint: screem
I have a file on local file system e.g. /var/www/
If i edit test.html with another editor (e.g. gedit) with this site opened in Screem (but file closed), save changes in gedit and open test.html from site in Screem, no changes made in gedit are visible. Seems like Screem has for sites some cache or what...
After restarting Screem everything is ok. Also when viewing test.html in non-site mode is everything ok.
Again, steps to reproduce:
1. Make anywhere on local file system some folder
2. Add this folder to Screem as a site (via Site>Open...)
3. (Switch to site you made in step 2 if you are not in)
4. In e.g. nautilus make some file in the folder
5. Open it in Screem (via open) to sure anything works (in open dialog you will see the folder of the site, if not, use step 3) and type anything into it, save it
6. Close document (with the cross on the tab)
7. Locate the same file in file manager and edit it in e.g. gedit, save it
8. Switch to Screem and open again the file
9. You will see content of file before edit with gedit...
(10. Switch to site 'alone files' and try to open the file... there you will see it edited...)
Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation.
I can confirm this issue on 8.10 and 9.04beta. Screem don't see external modifications and don't realy load the files but an internal copy (cache) of them without this preliminary verification.
Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
