Bug Description

Binary package hint: kile

When writing a LaTeX document with loads of table and figure floats, with folding turned on or off, making a selection with the mouse or keyboard often results in the (blue) highlight not showing and after that clicking the mouse or moving the cursor with the arrow keys doesn't show the blinking cursor anymore. So you can only see where you are typing, when you start typing.
Making selections still works, but you can't see what you selected. The same for the cursor, if I click somewhere, I can type from there, but it doesn't show the cursor.

Opening and closing Kile fixes the problem.

My setup: Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn 64-bit edition (GNOME) on an AMD X2 4200+ with a HIS X1650XT. Kile is version 1.9 from the repository.

Hello! Good that you are still looking out for these bugs.
I have just installed a new Hardy Heron machine and installed Kile
2.0.0 on it and the problem seems to be solved :) You can check this
one off! Thanks!

Hi I have a problem with the cursor movements when using kile. If I try to move cursor to some line using arrow keys, the cursor seems to get latched and moves beyond the point needed. This might be to do with the sensitivity of cursor motions with keys. Seems to be over sensitive. Is there a way to fix it?
I am using ubunu on my VM workstation in windows.
