TIFFVGetField fails with sigsegv on x86_64

Bug Description

This code works fine on i386, but fails with sigsegv on x86_64:

TIFFVGetField(myTiff, TIFFTAG_IMAGELENGTH, (void *) &length);

gdb shows me:

0x00002b0a6f5dcd11 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4

Thanks for the reply. I just checked, and the bug has disappeared. I am now using Ubuntu 8.10. There is some chance that the bug was mine in any case.
