FreeCol is a free (GPL) strategy game conceived as a clone of Sid Meier's Colonization. It is written in Java.

There is an unofficial package for an earlier version (0.6.1): http://www.getdeb.net/search.php?keywords=freecol . It looks good at first glance, except that FreeCol.log should be empty or should not exist, and in the packaged version it contains some game output (see diff.gz).
