Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Table of contents using standard Heading (paragraph style) references messes up from windows to linux. Both OpenOffice.org.
Table of contents looking fine and working properly in Windows.
Open in Linux, and Heading1 is omitted from the Table and is replaced by Heading4 and Heading4 is removed from its position.
The result is a working Table Of Contents like this:

Heading1
   Heading2
      Heading3
         Heading4
            Heading5 ...etc

Becomes:

   Heading2
      Heading3
Heading4
            Heading5

When saved and returned to windows, the problem remains.

Kind Regards,
Matt

Importance is low since it can be corrected manually. In My opinion.

Do you still have this problem with Ubuntu hardy openoffice.org 2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3? If so can you attach an example document that exhibits this problem?

Thanks,

Chris Cheney

Thanks for looking at this. Unfortunately I have not tried Hardy yet, so I can't answer your question. I have just managed to get Gutsy running ok on my G3 (power PC) iMac. Problem is the PPC is no longer a supported architecture. This leads to issues with gstreamer and liboil3 which break much of the multimedia functionality. Dependancy problems relating to these two packages are keeping me back from upgrading much now and I am considering Debian as the next upgrade for this machine, but it is too strict to have the great hardware and user experience of Ubuntu.

To cut this short, I need to get round to putting Hardy on to my new PC when I build it. Then I will do some tests, for now I'm in Windows and Ubuntu Gutsy (on my G3 iMac).

When this upgrade is complete I will do some more testing on openoffice.

Regards,

Matthew
