Bug Description
Binary package hint: hostname
Hi,
It would be nice if the 'hostname' manpage warned that other implementations exist
that don't take parameters; in particular on some implementations
hostname -s
will set the hostname to '-s'; and thus it is useful having a warning not
to use it in scripts liable to be run on multiple OSs

Hi Dave,
thank you for taking the time to report this bug. however we cannot fix this in ubuntu itself.
If you still think this is an issue, please contact the author of the tool or the author of the man pages (see the manpage of hostname for further details).
Thanks,
Markus
