Bug Description

Strange...
I have a dual boot machine with WinXP and Ubuntu 2.6.17-generic.
WinXP works fine with internet.

Ubuntu has problems with web-browsers/FTP/mail - it does not connect to most sites.
The sites it does connect to are: www.google.co.il and some other ubuntu forumes site in .nl

aMule works fine...

ping/tracerout work OK for ALL sites

I used wireShark to sniff around and it seems that that all sites are resolved and contacted. they even transfer the first packets, but then something hangs ( maybe my system does not ACK something...)

wireShark also says that there might be a checksum overloading error (??) in some of my tranmissions...

HELP...

These symptoms look very similar to tcp window scaling problems, see bug #59331 and bug #89160 for more details. Please try and see if disabling tcp window scaling as per the instructions found in these bug reports fixes your problem.
