Bug Description

After installing nvidia drivers by using the restricted drivers manager,i went from an absolute smorgasboard of screen resolutions down to 2 options ie; 800*600 and something else even lower, I have tried playing some games and the graphics are definitly better except for a very small screen.

John:
This sounds like bug #3731 . Does following the instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia help?

Changed in restricted-manager:
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info

Thanks for your help every one, i've tried to follow the instructions but due to my limited knowledge of these things i hav'nt had much luck, I have also noted that i must have the same bug as Paul McGarry #91292 as i have the same video card.
Anyhow i have gone back to the original default drivers for now as i don't have alot of time on my hands for this sort of thing.
Regards John

Can you upload your
/etc/X11/xorg.conf
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
when using the binary driver?

Fair enough. It is a pity you couldn't add that /etc/X11/xorg.conf file though. That would have been extremely useful...
