update-manager cannot upgrade

I'm in gutsy, and there was one update. It's been partial upgrade for awhile, so I just agreed to the partial. Then it went into distribution-upgrade mode, but said "Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop' ... It was impossible to install a required package. Please report this as a bug." Then it went on to say, "Could not calculate the upgrade...A unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade. ... Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport."
