Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

The suspension doesn't work if I use the ati drivers with my Radeon 9200 Mobile on my Acer Aspire 1603. I'm using 7.04 with all the updates. The PC goes standby, but when turned on again there is garbage on the screen and it hangs. Using vesa drivers all works perfectly instead

Thanks for reporting this bug in Ubuntu. Please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old after rebooting from a hang.

Also, if possible, it would be helpful if you could test against Gutsy. Gutsy Live CD ISO images are available at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/gutsy/

I've made a mistake on the first report: my graphic card is a Radeon 9000
