speaking the truth, my manual configuration is ok. I can connect to my office and use the voip without problems.

I have gotten the crash-notification too. The thing I notice is constantly loosing wireless connection (varying between every two seconds to every three minutes (roughly)). But I am not sure, this is connected to pptp-crash.

Ubuntu 9.04 - Kernel Linux 2.6.28-11-generic (last update in the middle of this week)
Wireless Driver is ath5k - the open source version.

Anything else, that might help?

This will get off topic for the PPTP problem, but her goes...

Figured you were using the open source ath driver. I had the same network disconnects while I was using it. Also had some seriously poor overall network throughput. I switched to the ath_pci driver and connectivity improved dramatically. Though, you'll need to create a custom file for the suspend process if you suspend your system.
