Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Every time the Gnome session starts, it takes almost two minutes to complete the loading. Adding to this, sometimes it fails to load metacity decorator. The only way to load metacity is to execute it from a terminal window or from the execution window.

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Does it happen if you move .gnome2/session somewhere else? Does "ping localhost" work correctly?

ping localhost works correctly. I have two PCs, in the first one I use Gutsy Tribe 2, in the other one I use Feisty with Gutsy's compiled sources (so I have the same GNOME in both systems). Both machines have the same issue. It happened even when I moved .gnome2/session elsewhere.

unconfirming then, there is likely a broken software being started or a misconfiguration on your installation

Do you have some firewall? Does it happen without it?
