Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

After I log in to Ubuntu Gutsy Herd 2, the rectangular Ubuntu thing that comes up and says it's loading Nautilus, etc. "sticks" to the desktop for 30-60 seconds before finishing up and activating restricted modules and Network Manager. I think this is a Compiz problem. The workaround for wifi (if you don't want to wait) is to just create a launcher for nm-applet. Eventually Network Manager does appear, though. But it should get fixed.

Thanks for a great Alpha 2. Not much to complain about.

I should add that I'm using an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop with the integrated Intel graphics chip set. I have 1 GB of memory.

I can confirm on this exactly. Also gnome-keyring-manager behaves differently. Each time I log in, I need to enter my WPA passphrase.
My system: A HP/Compaq NC6220 laptop, with an integrated chipset:

02:04.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection (rev 05)
