This works with Firefox, but not Chromium.

I installed FireFox using the synaptic package manager. Both video and audio works.

Confirmed. For same HTML5 video, it can be played well in Firefox but failed in Chromium.

@Ryan & Fathi, do you think we should support HTML5 video playback in Chromium on ARM Versatile Express A9 ALIP image? It's OK for me to mark it as "Won't Fix" if we don't have plan on it, or won't put any effort on it in future.

@Botao, unless it's a problem with our kernel, the ARM Landing Team can't justify spending time on this problem. It seems to be a problem in Chromium itself, so that is outside our scope unless it is deemed critical by ARM.

We don't produce Ubuntu based ALIP builds any more do we? So can't we mark this bug as invalid? Or does openembedded use the Chromium browser? I'm was hoping to try and reproduce this bug but there aren't any builds, and the original build mentioned in the bug report has been deleted from snapshots.l.o

No, we don't produce ubuntu based ALIP image any more for ARM Versatile Express board.

I'm not sure the Browser which is using in OpenEmbedded since the ALIP image is being tested monthly, and we actually don't test this HTML5 video playback feature on OpenEmbedded. I will take a look next week.

For this bug, maybe "Won't Fix" is a better description? Because it was "Valid" at that time.

OpenEmbedded ALIP images use Firefox as the default browser. I'm not marking this as "Won't fix" because then it will hang around in the release notes, when in fact the issue has gone away, so I'm closing it completely.
