1st test, this works:

root@linaro-alip:~# aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/*.wav

Then, from the GUI, I started GNOME MPlayer and opened /usr/share/sounds/alsa/ as a folder and all the files also played fine.

Did you plug your speakers in? ;-) And if so, did you plug them into the middle (green) audio connector?

@Ryan, I just re-tested this feature, now audio backs to work.

The failure I met at the beginning might be caused by the test of HTML5 video on YouTube. At that time, YouTube HTML5 video playback failed several times, then I started to test audio playback and it didn't work.

Now audio works well on both command line and Gnome mplayer in GUI. I will mark this issue as "Invalid".
