We've uploaded a preview release of Inkscape 0.46 to Hardy - can you check if you can reproduce this bug on Hardy's inkscape?

Sorry, hardy broke my computers wifi, and I dont have time to
reinstall it.

Alright, closing for now assuming the fix is correct. When you get a chance to test, please reopen if the bug is still there. Note that you can probably test it by booting a LiveCD and using Applications -> Add/Remove to temporarily install Inkscape.
