Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi-support

The toshiba hotkeys (fn keys) don't seem to function in Gutsy.

Loading the toshiba_acpi module gives an error:

[ 2550.136000] toshiba_acpi: Unknown parameter `hotkeys_over_acpi'

removing this option from the modprobe.d/toshiba_acpi.modprobe file let's you load the module and change the brightness through the /proc/acpi/toshiba/lcd file using the command line.

Thank you for your bug report.
I suppose this has been fixed already (in the module itself).
Therefore I'm closing the open "hal" bug task as invalid.
Please re-open it in case the problem still exists for you.
