Thank you for your bug. Not a rhythmbox bug, whatever the application does the system should not crash. Could you attach your /var/log/messages /var/log/syslog /var/log/Xorg.0.log to the bug?

Did a bit more poking around and can confirm that you are correct. The lock-up was related to my wireless network connection. This bug report should be deleted.
