Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbase

Not really a bug, more like a feature request: the /etc/protocols file content is quite outdated.
The current list ends with: 133 FC Fiber Channel.
But Iana has already defined new entries, up to 137.
Please see http://www.iana.org/assignments/protocol-numbers for the complete list.

The bug resolution would be to add these entries in the file:
   134 RSVP-E2E-IGNORE [RFC3175]
   135 Mobility Header [RFC3775]
   136 UDPLite [RFC3828]
   137 MPLS-in-IP [RFC4023]

Thank you!
Sebastien.

And two more are now standardized:

134 and 135 are still missing, but 136-139 have been added (I've checked Ubuntu Lucid).

I suppose 134 and 135 have not been added, since they are "historical" maybe.
From the file itself:
# New protocols will be added on request if they have been officially
# assigned by IANA and are not historical.
# If you need a huge list of used numbers please install the nmap package.

I'm closing this as Fix Released, according to the Debian bug.

In case I'm wrong, please re-open it (but contact the Debian maintainer, too).

Thank you.
