Bug Description

For reference see the IVTV driver installation README

http://ivtvdriver.org/trac/browser/ivtv/trunk/doc/README.install

To fix the issue in /etc/sysctl.conf put the line

http://ivtvdriver.org/trac/browser/ivtv/trunk/doc/README.install

Note that If you have 4 IVTV tuners (eg two PVR-500 cards) you might need to double this value.

I've not seen any reported issues with this on systems with as little as 256Mb Ram.

Sorry the line in /etc/sysctl.conf should be

vm.min_free_kbytes=16384

I believe we have an unwritten policy not to mess with kernel things. I've added linux-source-2.6.22 as affected package.
