Using Nuvola on Mint 15

While Nuvola player is open I cannot use my media keys to go to the next song or go to the previous song. Play/pause works fine.
I also cannot use the Dock Manager to change to next or previous.
I opened Banshee and added a few songs and was able to use media keys to play/pause, go to next, go to previous.
