Gutsy,

Please tell me how to provide the information you need to fix this bug.

I can confirm this as well. I saw a similar problem faced by inkscape in Gutsy for which there is a bug on launchpad as well. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/inkscape/+bug/122299

However someone has commented there that the fix was released for inkscape. It could be a similar problem here.

This also applies to mysql-admin.

I can confirm this also. I for one would also like to see the latest version of the MySQL GUI tools packaged for Ubuntu. The ridiculously old version in the repos is one of the only things that really bugs me about Ubuntu, since I can't seem to get the new version running by 1) using the binaries from mysql.com, 2) compiling from source, or even 3) running the Windows versions in Wine.

The binaries from mysql.com works fine for me. It's just the one in the repos that is broken. Haven't tried to compile from source.

after last update (and some days called "vacation") the error on mysql-admin seems to be fixed, i.e. it works now as expected :-)
