Installing the latest updates using Synaptic failed with this crash report. There is some problem installing OpenOffice.

I came across the exact same error message. When trying to do my nightly updates just a few minutes ago, I got this:

dpkg: error processing openoffice.org-common (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of openoffice.org-java-common:
 openoffice.org-java-common depends on openoffice.org-common; however:
  Package openoffice.org-common is not configured yet.

I can confirm this bug too. However, it doesn't affect the functionality of openoffice.
