DVD not found in Dell inspiron 1520

Bug Description

Installed Feisty on Inspiron 1520 using the Live CD. At this stage the CD is working OK.

When the OS is installed the CD/DVD is no longer available. Attempting to mount the device gives "mount: special device /dev/hda does not exist"
