Bug Description

I installed the new (and appreciated) package kubuntu-restricted-extras but when I started Amarok it said it has no mp3 support. I belive that this needs to be included in the metapackage.

I just discovered that it dosen't contain support for mp3 in K3B too, this should be added too.

This does - it's now a part of ubuntu-restricted-extras source package.

Unfortunately, this is an empty package at the moment - apt isnt installing recommends by default, for universe/metapackages, only packages in main. This will be fixed before tribe 3. (either, it gets hardcoded back to dependancies, or apt gets fixed, to cope with metapackages in universe or multiverse)

Changed in kubuntu-restricted-extras:
assignee: nobody → hobbsee
status: New → Fix Released

(however, the required stuff for mp3 on amarok and k3b are listed there, in the recommends)
