Bug Description

Before upgrading to 5.18.17-2build2~feisty1 the projects I was running (chesss960 and seti-beta) both were running satisfactorily with minimum stress on my CPU (showing orange in GkrellM, and with temperatures running up to 38C)

After the upgrade, seti-beta now shows up in GkrellM as blue and my CPU temperature goes up to around 50C

I'm not an expert in any of this, but this suggests to me that the nice setting might not be right. - At least something has changed for the worse.

Sorry, I should have indicated that I'm using 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux on an AMD64x2

Is this still an issue with Ubuntu Gutsy?

I have not experienced it with Gutsy, but then again there hasn't been a boinc upgrade since Gutsy was introduced.

About the version: you are now using version 5.10.8-1 in Gutsy?
I think the feisty version you have reported is wrong, isn't it?
