Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

After starting Rhythmbox, and starting a radio channel, I clicked the Visualizations icon which resulted in a crash. After restarting Rhythmbox, my list of default radio channels is empty.

Thank you for your bug. Do you have the crash every time you try to enable the visualization option? What videodriver do you use?

The crash occurs every time, using xserver-xorg-video-intel on an Intel
x3100 chipset.

Sebastien, are you certain this is an intel driver issue? I don't spot anything in the logs that indicates this.

Now using Tribe 4. With desktop effects off, visualizations works fine. After turning "Normal effects" on, clicking on visualizations makes RhythmBox exit without any notice.

In Gutsy Beta, daily updated, I can reproduce the crash only when compiz is enabled and gstreamer is configured to use xv output. Without compiz or with compiz / non-xv output, visualization works fine. I also have an Intel x3100 (GM965). As the x3100 has been blacklisted for compiz, this bug should normally not occur anymore and I will close it.
