An updated version of Firefox, which fixes some critical security vulnerabilities, is available from upstream.

Please provide updated packages for the stable Ubuntu releases as soon as possible.

What happens with Dapper's Firefox 1.5.0.12, will the security fixes be backported?

Updates have been announced as USN-490-1 (http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-490-1).

Installed and tested the Dapper/AMD64 package (with integrated backports, I suppose); installs and works fine.

Thank you very much for providing updated packages and even keeping Firefox 1.5.0.12 in Dapper secure without forcing the user to upgrade to a newer version. Great response time for this one this time, way to go!
