Bug Description
Binary package hint: scala
I installed scala without having ever installed any of the java development files, and compiling scala programs doesn't work. I get the message "error: fatal error: object java.lang not found." when I try to compile a sample program. I think this is a dependency problem; I don't know enough about java to suggest which packages scala should depend on.
