Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-i810

I have a Dell X10 laptop running Ubuntu feisty.

I suspended the laptop. I unsuspended. Usually this works fine, however, in this case, the screen remained blank for quite a while, even though I pressed the shift key several times to bring up the "enter your password" dialog.

So, I switched to vt4 with ctrl+alt+f4, then tried to switch back to vt7. On vt7, I saw a blank screen with a few light coloured pixels of noise in the top left.

Shortly after this, I couldn't see a video mode VT at all, and instead, I saw a red text-mode message in a box telling me that my X server had crashed. There were strange glyphs making up the border of this box.

I'll attach my Xorg.0.log file.

Could you please recheck it with Gutsy Final Live CD? In Gutsy i810 driver is deprecated and intel driver is used instead.
