Bug Description

Binary package hint: xsane

Canon Lide 30 should be recognized by and work with Xsane (with Suse it worked just fine) but using Ubuntu 7.04 it doesn't work. Xsane recognizes the scanner but the scanner is dead. Trying to scan or preview a black background appears as the scanner lamp doesn't go on.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
