Bug Description
Binary package hint: gthumb
When i plug my Canon Powershot A520 camera, the gthumb module starts, and i can import my pictures. A problem appears when the power saving mode is enabled on my camera. In this mode, the camera automatically turns off after a period of inactivity (The delay can be set). During the import, the camera turns off after the delay, which makes it fail. Afterthat, gthumb freezes.
I'm currently running an up-to-date feisty, but i think it was previously doing the same.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducable with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Gutsy Gibbon. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
