Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. Also would be nice if you can provide us a screenshot of your problem. Thanks in advance.

We are closing this bug report as it lacks the information, described in the previous comments, we need to investigate the problem further. However, please reopen it if you can give us the missing information and don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the future.

Excuse me, I have the same problem. I was about to report this bug with apport, but stumbles across this and want to ask; what information are you looking for?
Well,
a) this has never happened before
b) I am running Compiz Fusion
c) My GNOME panel has a background image on it (but that never stopped anything before)
d) I removed the show/hide all windows on the desktop button and replaced it with a Run Command button

Please dont shutdown this bug, it is scary
