Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Basically, since upgrading to gutsy, my gnome applets move aroudn on login. i.e often the clock and notification applets will swap position, or the trash and window list.

I have a dual screen setup, with the gnome panels on the first screen.

Oddly, i can change resolution frequently and the order is maintained, its purely when i log in, and seems to only afffect applets that are alligned to the right of a panel.

The problem I encountered a few weeks ago was an erratic problem. Sometimes the icons from the panel changed spaces sometimes they did not.
I got a 200GB disk, and made a clean installation of Ubuntu 7.04, and it works even better than before. The icons do not change, and I can get more features of my nvidia graphics cards using Beryl.

The prior disk I had was a 60GB, and I had used since I began searching for a good distro, and I kept installing them over and over.

If I could suggest, to the problems of this kind, to grab a clean disk, and install Ubuntu from scratch, and many problems will clear by them selves.
This problem from my end can be closed.
