Bug Description
Binary package hint: easytag
If you give easytag a very large job to do, more than likely there will be some files among those you are processing that easytag does not feel able to handle. Currently easytag will stop every time it encounters such an error, and will display a little box with the name of the file that is causing the problem, which you then have to click for easytag to resume the job.
This feature is very frustrating. It means that you have to babysit easytag for however long it takes to do the job, which can be a very long time.
This feature is also completely pointless. There is nothing you can do about the error anyway until the whole job is finished. There is no graceful way to abort the job short of forcing easytag to quit. In any case, the pop up error message is pretty uninformative. It only gives you the filename, whereas the easytag log will also tell you the file's path so you can locate it in your file system and either fix it or delete it.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I haven't received any errors when tagging my files. What error do you get? Can you try with the latest easytag 2.1.4 to see if the issue still exists? Thanks in advance.
