pointer icon running non stop (endless application)

Hello and thank you in advance for your help.

the little circular icon with a mini ubuntu-design shape (that icon appears usually when an application is loading) is running clockwise endless. It appears on the desktop. It does not appear HERE when I'm writing this message, because the "report a bug etc... " window is on top. It is 2 colors, B/W. It stays and turns permanently on the desktop window.

But if I move to the desktop window, this tiny little thing is here and turns non-stop.

I am very grateful for Linux's Ubuntu. I hope that you will allow me to know where is the problem and that you will respond at your convenience.
