Bug Description

The current version of the ubuntu-xen-server metapackage in ubuntu 7.10 still references the Xen 3.0 packages which are not available since in gutsy only Xen 3.1 exists.

Output when trying to install ubuntu-xen-server:

ubuntu-xen-server: Hängt ab: libxen3.0 , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.
Hängt ab: python-xen3.0 , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.
Hängt ab: xen-docs-3.0 , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.
Hängt ab: xen-hypervisor-3.0-i386-pae , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.
Hängt ab: xen-ioemu-3.0 , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.
Hängt ab: xen-utils-3.0 , welches ein virtuelles Paket ist.

This error is also true for the rest of the xen meta packages that i have tried... desktop on both x86 and amd64.

The error in english:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ubuntu-xen-desktop-amd64: Depends: libxen3.0 but it is not installable
Depends: python-xen3.0 but it is not installable
Depends: xen-docs-3.0 but it is not installable
Depends: xen-hypervisor-3.0-amd64 but it is not installable
Depends: xen-ioemu-3.0 but it is not installable
Depends: xen-utils-3.0 but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

Is a workaround until it is fixed simply to install the packages manually? or even is there relatively easy way to modify the meta package until a fix is released?

I was able to install the following packages manually:

libxen3.1
python-xen-3.1
xen-docs-3.1
xen-hypervisor-3.1
xen-ioemu-3.1
xen-utils-3.1

and also: xen-image-2.6.19-4-generic-amd64
which there should also be a xen kernel that goes with the meta package(s)

I now have a new problem, not being able to find the python xen modules on xend start. That is probably a different issue though.

this should now be fixed too.
