Bug Description

Following up on discussion at the 2014 Evergreen Conference, I'm adding a wishlist request for Awesome Box integratin in Evergreen - http://awesomebox.io/.

Some ideas for this feature have been to add a checkin modifier for awesome items, adding awesomeness as a reportable field, and possibly a patron view of awesome items - though maybe we would just want to work with the existing public display used by Awesome Box. Also, maybe we can incorporate awesomeness in relevancy ranking for search results.

Hi, I'm Annie Cain, co-creator of Awesome Box. Pardon my jumping into your wishlist, but I just wanted to say:

This is rad! We've always thought that the ideal implementation of Awesome Box is to flag items while checking them in. Evergreen is so cool.

We are happy to help the effort in any way we can. Modifying our API, sharing code or just cheering you on. Feel free to get in touch.

According to awesomebox.io, "we are sad to say that awesomebox.io will be shutting down on June 1, 2016."

However, libraries can still use the github code to set up a locally hosted awesome box: https://github.com/harvard-lil/awesome

I'd be curious to hear input from others. It's hard to classify a wishlist item as 'invalid' but I'm tempted to mark this as such. It very much feels like it was a fad of the time and not relevant any more. I'd be very interested in functionality to provide recommendations in user input but I don't think this is a direction of interest anymore.

It doesn't make a big difference, but "won't fix" strikes me as a slightly better fit of a status. Either way, I agree that Awesome Box's moment has passed.

Agreed that this is past relevance at this time. Marking won't fix as my first official bug squashing week act :)
