Send button when responding to texts is grayed out and non-functional

Bug Description

If I get a text, the message indicator is blue. If I click a message from within the indicator, I am presented with a text field and a send button. I can type into the text field, but the button is grayed out. If I click it, then the text field, etc goes away, but the message isn't sent and it isn't added to the thread in the messaging app. If I click the message again in the messaging indicator, it shows the text field with the message, but the button is still grayed out and won't send.

This is on mako with latest promoted (r250)

I've just tried with r287 and can't reproduce the issue.

The button is supposed to be greyed out only if the text field is empty (or reply action is not available).
Did it not turn orange when you entered text?

Nick, you are correct that it would not turn orange when I entered text. However, I just upgraded to r287 (I was on 250 cause this is my only device, but I couldn't wait any longer :)) and it appears to work. Marking Fix Released. I'll open it again if I see it again. Thanks for taking a look at it!

I saw this recently on an up to date device, so it seems not completely fixed.

I saw it too after this was marked as fixed, but didn't file it. At the time the reproducer seemed to be to simply have two texts in the messaging indicator (eg, sending two texts to myself), but now I can't reproduce it on r113.
