speaker sound at reboot and shutdown

Bug Description

In my kubuntu 7.04 I have a problem when shutting down. I sometimes get a very annoying loud beep (for 5-10 seconds).
It comes from the speaker (not the soundcard). I really do not care if the sound tries to tell me anything (about some error)
It can report it on the screen.
(But it should be quiet - I do not want to wake my children when I shut down or reboot my computer!)

The kubuntu logo is shown shortly after the sound begins (there are no other problems than the annoying sound).
The sound remains until power off.

It does not happen offen, but I got the sound yesterday at shutdown.
I however still use 7.04 and not 7.10.

Could you post your '/var/log/syslog' file that covers a time period when you heard the beep? Thanks again!

I just heard the sound - and here is the log. I do not see anything bad in it ...
The power also didn't seem to go off - (but I was also not that patient ....)

Reinstalled - using the new Kubuntu 7.10 - haven't seen the problem since.
