Promise SATA300 TX2plus not working

I have no access to the Machine at the moment.

Is it correct, that in general the named controller should work with Ubuntu 7.04?

Yes, it looks like it but it is hard to say without the PCI id of your specific card.

Looks like the controller was not working correctly, the new card is recognised and the Harddisks are accessible.

I think this is solved.
